Job Purpose/Objective

The Site Manager, for MiGente.com will be responsible for developing the programming strategy for Community Connect's Latin American community web site. This position will develop relationships with notable individuals and organizations in the community to have a presence on our sites and market that presence to our members. We want our members to be more engaged by presenting to them community members and groups that are of high interest. This position will work on developing strategic partnerships with media companies and other third parties to provide cross marketing promotions and exposure. In addition, the Site Manager will work with our PR firm to develop press opportunities for greater media exposure. The focus of this position is to raise brand awareness and traffic levels of the sites. The Site Manager will also be responsible for managing Brand positioning and guidelines that will be used by our Product Development, Production and Design teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Under direction of the Director

  • Define and manage the programming strategy, requirements, resources, applications and delivery for MiGente.com– identify and develop additional sources of content
  • Develop new content partnerships through outsourcing/syndication opportunities and negotiate contracts, terms for delivery
  • Work with celebrities, artists and their agents/publicist to increase the number of celebrity pages on Community Connect sites
  • Work with groups/organizations and personalities relevant to their sites cultural community to increase the number of profiles on Community Connect sites
  • Manage external media and PR relationships. Through a combination of unique programming and effective PR establish Community Connect Inc as thought leader in the Latin American social networking market
  • Develop editorial style, policy, and requirements consistent with site's mission/strategy and in accordance with consumer appeal

ACCOUNTABILITIES & MEASURES:

  • Traffic levels for Notable Personal Pages and Groups
  • Impressions from PR and Advertising

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS:

  • 2-4+ years experience in online programming and marketing
    • Experience defining and positioning user-generated content products to achieve business results
    • Knowledge of marketing strategies, platforms and techniques
    • Understanding and experience in sourcing and negotiating content from third parties / syndication opportunities
    • Experience working with media contacts across industries
  • Strong PR skills, ability to measure and quantify results
  • Strong attention to detail and can drive to successful completion
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong project management and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Marketing, branding experience preferred - understand how content/user generated drives brand
  • Experience working with multi-cultural media companies and partners required
