Job Description

The Product Manager of Dating will be responsible for the business management and product strategy for CCI's dating product across all of its market leading niche community sites.

The Product Manager will be responsible for developing business cases and product specifications for changes to both existing and new products. The Product Manager will have superior skills in the following areas: customer research, analysis, written and oral communication, ability to work productively across teams.

The product manager will be measured on three objectives:

  • Business – improved product performance in market share, page views, unique visitors
  • Financial – increased revenue and cash flow
  • Operational – efficient and on-time delivery of new product

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Define product strategy for the dating product, including both free and paid approaches
  • Lead the launch of 7 new free dating sites in 2007
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis
  • Create business cases for new products, features/revisions and promotions. Business cases need to be supported by strong financial and customer analysis
  • Track the performance of existing products and report on trends and results
  • Work with Marketing to plan marketing promotions on internal and external properties
  • Evaluate and develop partnerships with relevant external technology and marketing partners
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS:

  • Strong technical understanding of Internet technologies and the operations of a commercial Web site
  • Proven analytical and communication skills and the ability to identify customer needs and communicate them to constituents
  • Must be self motivated, have good interpersonal skills, be adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Hands on knowledge of online community / online services marketing
  • Understanding of U.S. Ethnic Markets is a plus
  • Superior Computer Skills (MSOffice, Internet)
  • Strong project management skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Education Requirement:
  • BA/BS Degree

Preferred Education Requirement:

  • MBA

Minimum Experience Requirement:

  • 3-5 years of successful Product Management and Marketing experience at a Consumer Internet or software company
