• PL/SQL, stored procedures, migration of data
• Monitoring and Analyzing database performance, usage patterns and performance tuning
• Evaluation of database tools, documenting schema, standards for use, control, maintenance and updates of database
• Responsible for design and architecture of database
• Provide rationale for decisions to technical team, balancing concerns of stakeholders, driving down technical risks and ensuring decisions are effectively communicated
• Ensure standards and best practices used in database development are followed and maintained
• Review existing data architecture and make recommendations for enhancements and/or improvements

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related Database work experience
• 3-5 years experience in data modeling, development, implementation and support of transactional databases
• Experience with relational database platforms - Oracle is must
• Advanced expertise in stored procedure programming, data modeling, replication, performance monitoring and optimization, and database administration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team environment

Preferred:

• Knowledge of Agile Methodologies, such as Extreme Programming (XP) and Scrum
• Deep query development skills
• Experience leading and mentoring individuals and teams
• Knowledge of a UNIX type operating system (preferably Linux)
