Job Description
- PL/SQL, stored procedures, migration of data
- Monitoring and Analyzing database performance, usage patterns and performance tuning
- Evaluation of database tools, documenting schema, standards for use, control, maintenance and updates of database
- Responsible for design and architecture of database
- Provide rationale for decisions to technical team, balancing concerns of stakeholders, driving down technical risks and ensuring decisions are effectively communicated
- Ensure standards and best practices used in database development are followed and maintained
- Review existing data architecture and make recommendations for enhancements and/or improvements

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related Database work experience
- 3-5 years experience in data modeling, development, implementation and support of transactional databases
- Experience with relational database platforms - Oracle is must
- Advanced expertise in stored procedure programming, data modeling, replication, performance monitoring and optimization, and database administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team environment
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Agile Methodologies, such as Extreme Programming (XP) and Scrum
- Deep query development skills
- Experience leading and mentoring individuals and teams
- Knowledge of a UNIX type operating system (preferably Linux)
