Job Purpose/Objective

This position is responsible for meeting the advertising objectives of clients while maintaining the economic and financial goals of the company. The Delivery Manager will work with our national sales team and business development team in all critical analytic processes of their sales cycle. This includes, but is not limited to, inventory analysis and availability projection participation in pre–sales situations supporting planners, campaign delivery, and client retention. Much of this is done daily and hourly with dynamic campaign and placement optimization derived from intensive analysis of campaign performance and pricing variables in our pre-emptable sales inventory. You will be working with our business development department to analyze and optimize performance from remnant network advertisers, lead generation partners and paid search advertisers. You are responsible for problem solving with a thorough understanding of the ad serving technology and our partner's operations. You will be managing a team initially consisting of one Traffic Coordinator and a contracted support team at Operative Inc. The Director of Traffic and Delivery position can be characterized as fast paced, analytical, communicative, and bearing significant responsibility and accountability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Define Structure and Manage the ad trafficking group including all staffing and staff performance activities
  • Evaluate and analyze the economics of various deals solicited by the sales team
  • Oversee, optimize and execute in the process of launching and scaling flawless, effective media campaigns to meet client and CCI needs
  • Work closely with account management and Business Development to provide client with appropriate information and support, and to ensure that client metrics are being met
  • Analyze pay-for-performance campaigns and closely work with partners (remnant networks, lead generation companies and paid search partners) to optimize campaigns to achieve the highest yield
  • Define, train and disseminate "best practices" in terms of effective campaigns, bid optimization techniques, and ad serving integration and set-up
  • Forecast advertising campaign performance and potential volume based on existing parameters of campaign established by client
  • Heavy focus on the recommendation and execution of adjustments to campaign placements to meet delivery requirements and optimize revenue for CCI(Develop capacity models for managing inventory to achieve business goals
  • Meet and exceed sales team goals for revenue Develop efficiencies to increase the effectiveness of the position and the Delivery department to support company growth Work closely with the Group Lead and individual Sales managers to meet group objectives

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong analytical, ad wizardry, decision-making and problem solving skills and abilities
  • Expert knowledge of Ad Server technology preferably on major ad serving platform such as Dart or OAS. OAS specific knowledge is a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency and comfort in dealing with mathematical calculations and concepts
  • Strong communication and partner management skills are essential
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Thorough understanding of optimization techniques including frequency capping and demo or page targeting
  • Strong acumen analysis of web site visitor behavior
  • Ability to work on analyzing and implementing ad serving tactics to maximize pay-for-performance advertising including ad networks and lead generation partners
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and employees and partners or customers
  • Maintain own work flow, plan and meet deadlines
  • Possess strong leadership, communication (both verbal and written), and customer service skills, and exchange information with others clearly and concisely
  • Ability to respond to frequent pressure to meet the deadlines of multiple customers (internal and external) then work speed and sustained accuracy is paramount
  • Ability to publicly present ideas, share information, and foster dialogue that furthers the learning and growth of knowledge within department
  • Thorough knowledge of new technologies and industry trends
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be detail oriented, customer service focused, highly-organized, able to calmly perform under a high stress/deadline-driven environment and understand the urgency and exposure that comes with working in dynamic ad trafficking environments
  • Experience managing an outsourced business relationship

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education Requirement: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or a related field
  • Experience Requirement: 3+ years of relevant experience in pricing, yield management, strategic consulting or quantitative experience
  • Preferable Experience Requirement: Experience in interactive media with a focus on inventory, pricing, business analysis, or finance
