Benjamin Sun
President and CEO
Benjamin Sun is responsible for setting the overall the strategic direction and product strategy for Community Connect,
Inc., spearheading all efforts towards overall business growth for the company. He oversees the overall design,
development, and technology infrastructure, along with working closely with all departments and groups to fully
optimize and manage company funds and resources to wisely.
Mr. Sun co-founded Community Connect Inc. in 1996 and has overseen its growth and success since inception.
Over the last 9 years, Mr. Sun has grown the company to be a leading online publisher targeting various niche

Mr. Sun started Community Connect in his Manhattan based apartment with a small team of friends and a business plan.
He has been responsible for growing the company by raising over $20 million from investors such as Comcast and
Sandler Capital and using those resources to build powerful new media brands.
Mr. Sun has been responsible for paving the way for advertisers and marketers to reach and engage niche market
consumers online. Additionally, he has been responsible for developing the largest online diversity recruiting
service in partnership with Monster Worldwide Inc. to allow corporations to source a more diverse candidate pool.
Under his leadership, Mr. Sun has established Community Connect, Inc. as a profitable and growing company that is
still in its early stages of success.
Profiled by Crain's New York Business as one of the top under-40 executives to watch, Mr. Sun is a leader in
propelling advertisers toward the significant business opportunity of reaching niche audiences via the Internet.
Prior to helping launch Community Connect, Mr. Sun worked in Merrill Lynch's Technology Investment Banking Group
where he was involved in numerous corporate finance and merger and acquisition transactions in the technology industry.
He executed over $500 million in equity financing transactions for Internet, enterprise software, and wire and cable
industry companies. Mr. Sun holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Michigan.

Omar Wasow
Strategic Advisor, Community Connect, Inc.
Omar Wasow, 36, is a co-founder of www.BlackPlanet.com and an on-air technology analyst. Under Omar's
leadership www.BlackPlanet.com became the leading site for African Americans, reaching over three million people a
month. As a strategic advisor to Community Connect Inc., the parent company of www.BlackPlanet.com, he continues to
be an active member of the executive management team, guiding the long-term direction and profitability of the
company.
Omar also works to demystify technology issues through regular TV and radio segments on NBC's Today Show,
CNN's American Morning and public radio's Tavis Smiley Show. Similarly, Omar tutored Oprah Winfrey in her first
exploration of the Net in the 12-part series 'Oprah Goes Online'.
Omar's success as a credible and friendly guide to the Internet led Newsweek to name him one of the "fifty most
influential people to watch in cyberspace," and People magazine to call him the "Sexiest Internet Executive."
Successful Meetings Magazine named him one of the "21 Top Speakers for the 21st Century."
As a result of his active participation in a number of social issues, particularly the charter school movement,
Omar was selected to be a fellow in the Rockefeller Foundation's Next Generation Leadership program. In Fall 2003,
a K-7 charter school that Omar helped found opened in his hometown of Brooklyn. He received his BA in Race and Ethnic
Relations from Stanford University. Omar is currently pursuing a doctorate in African American studies and political
science at Harvard.

Calvin Wong
Co-Founder, SVP Advertising Sales
Mr. Wong leads the company's national sales team by creating marketing solutions for
advertising agencies and brand marketers.
Mr. Wong also held prior responsibility of Vice President Performance Advertising
where he was quickly grew revenue from new programs and partnerships which include Google,
Yahoo, Ad Networks, Co-Registration, Direct Response, Lead Generation and Open Exchange
Markets. Mr. Wong also created the company's yield management optimization strategy which
helped increase market demand price for CCI inventory by 50% in less than one year.
In addition Mr. Wong has held the position of General Manager of Advertising Sales,
Sales Operations and Business Development from 1999-2004. In this position, he developed
the strategic sales strategy, managed and grew the sales team. Mr. Wong oversaw all aspects
of product marketing, partnerships, sales operation and production, and performance advertising.
Mr. Wong's significant contributions included leading efforts to sell beyond the banner integrated
sponsorships to State Farm, MTV, General Motors, US Army, Remy, Ford and Volvo, developing the industry
first webmercial and growing annual advertising revenue 30% + year over year. Mr. Wong's team was awarded
"Team of the Year" in 2004 for its outstanding sales achievements.
Prior to Community Connect, Mr. Wong worked as an Associate at Sumitomo Bank Capital Markets, where he was
responsible for US Treasury Repurchase Agreements. In addition, Mr. Wong was an Analyst at Bankers Trust New York.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Information Systems from New York University's Stern School of
Business.
Mr. Wong is married and enjoys spending his free time with wife and 2 children.

Peter Chen
Co-Founder and VP, Ad Operations
Mr. Chen is a co-founder and currently serves as the VP, Ad Operations and is a member of the company's executive. In this role, Mr. Chen oversees all premium ad products,
which includes pricing of ads and creation of custom ad supported programs and manages the Traffic, Account Management and Sales Production
teams. Mr. Chen's prior experience managing both operations and product management for the product development
team is a major asset as he helps to grow the Client Solutions Group.
From 2005 to 2006, Mr. Chen served as GM of Member Revenue overseeing multiple revenue lines, which included
the online dating subscription business. During that time, Mr. Chen was part of the team responsible for developing
"Community 9", which was a complete rewrite of the source code for the sites. As a result of "Community 9", the
company can now rapidly deploy new sites in 30 days or less.
From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Chen served as Executive Director of Production overseeing product management and
operations for the Product Development group as wells as managing the member services team. During that time,
Mr. Chen and with Mr. Montero created the Product Development Team (PDT) which unified the development and code
base across all sites. This was a step in improving the company's ability to rapidly develop and manage code
across all sites.
Prior to 2001, Mr. Chen was an integral part of the team responsible for creating and launching
www.AsianAve.com,
www.BlackPlanet.com and www.MiGente.com.
Mr. Chen was also responsible for managing much of the site's original content
that included Liquid Soap, A day in the life of, First Place and the Wall.
Prior to co-founding Community Connect Inc. Mr. Chen graduated NYU with an actuarial science major. Mr. Chen
then worked at MetLife as an Actuary before moving to Chase Manhattan Bank as part of their risk management team.

Michael Montero
Co-Founder and Chief Architect
Mr. Montero is responsible for building the company's proprietary technology and software that
powers each of the sites. He oversees a team of software developers, database and systems administrators
to ensure optimal performance of the company's five sites. He is a leader in developing state-of-the-art
technological solutions for leading-edge businesses.
Over his tenure at Community Connect Mr. Montero has lead and overseen a number of major milestones
for the company:

- July 1998: As the only on-staff developer he built the software platform for the launch of www.AsianAve.com.
- September 1999: Proved the efficacy of the core platform, enabling the launch of www.BlackPlanet.com in 99 days!
- October 2000: Launched MG in 64 days.
- January 2001: Launched an open source project call APC (Alternative PHP Cache). Since then APC has become
the defacto cache/compiler for the entire PHP language.
- March 2001: Launched APD, the first and only open source PHP debugger.
Mr. Montero oversees a staff of around 50, and speaks frequently at various conferences, advising for various
companies, implementing Agile, achieving PCI Level 2 compliance.
Prior to helping launch Community Connect, Mr. Montero was a Senior Engineer
for Advanced Publications Internet, where he was responsible for the development
and administration of the company's online publications.
Prior to that, Mr. Montero worked at Icon CMT Corp., an Internet service and content provider.
Mr. Montero has been a lead engineer and developer for the Web sites of CBS, Associated Press,
Bear Stearns, Real Estate Online, United Airlines and CMP Publications.
Mr. Montero holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from New York University.

Dennis Serfilippi
Vice President, Finance
As the Vice President of Finance at Community Connect, Dennis Serfilippi is responsible for leading and managing all
finance and accounting functions.
Dennis joined Community Connect in 2003 as Corporate Controller and was later promoted to Director of Finance.
Before joining Community Connect, Mr. Serfilippi served as Corporate Controller at Medsite Inc., which is a leading
provider of online promotional and educational services for the healthcare profession. Before then, he held a number
of positions at IBM including credit analyst and senior financial analyst in the strategy group.
Mr. Serfilippi received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Fordham University and an M.B.A.
from The University of Connecticut. He has pursued post-graduate studies in technology at New York University,
and in finance through the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Nicholas Tang
Senior Director of Operations at Community Connect Inc.
Nicholas Tang is Senior Director of Operations at Community Connect Inc., a leading provider of online communities.
For over 6 years, Nicholas has been managing the infrastructure that enables over 20 million CCI users to enjoy the
site's free personal pages, forums, news, chat, instant messaging, games, promotions, and online events. He manages
hree teams in the company, covering the Systems, Database, and IT functions.
At CCI, Nicholas has been responsible for managing technology across all facets of the company, including security,
storage, networking, and computing. He has led initiatives to improve performance and scalability, reduce costs and
ime to production with virtualization technologies, and manage costs with a best-of-breed mixture of commercial and
open source solutions. With over 10 years of industry experience, he brings a unique mix of broad-ranging technical
knowledge, project planning and management, and business management experience to the table.
Before CCI, he led systems teams at a diverse set of companies spanning several fields, including CondeNet, Kozmo.com,
and R/GA Digital Studios. Nicholas has been a speaker at conferences including Computerworld's Storage Networking World
and the Infoworld Executive Virtualization Forum and has been featured in multiple articles and publications, including
the New York Times and CIO Magazine.

Ian Spalter
VP of Product Management and User Experience
Ian Spalter is the VP of Product Management and User Experience. He directs the product strategy, usability and design of Community Connect's proprietary software platform.
Prior to his current role at Community Connect, Ian was an Associate Creative Director at IPG's flagship digital agency R/GA. In this capacity, Ian lead creative teams in the development of award-winning digitalcampaigns for international brands such as Nokia, T-Mobile, Purina, and
Levis.
Before R/GA, during his first tour at Community Connect, Ian lead the design of BlackPlanet.com. He developed the brand and user-interface for what quickly became the leading site for African Americans, reaching over three million people a month.
Ian began his career in 1996 working on the pre-web online community New York Online. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hampshire College, with aconcentration in Multimedia Design and Cultural Theory.

Kilandigalu(Kay) M. Madati
Vice President of Marketing
Kay M. Madati is the Vice President of Marketing at Community Connect, Inc., responsible for the overall branding, positioning and marketing, as well as defining and articulating the core member/user experience across Community Connect, Inc.’s five sites -- AsianAvenue.com, BlackPlanet.com, MiGente.com, GLEE.com and the recently launched Faithbase.com. This includes leadership/stewardship of all member acquisition and retention efforts, site programming, public relations, events, sponsorships, marketing partnerships and content/campaign deals with major brands and/or organizations/institutions. All efforts are in support of the end goal of providing members with the opportunity to interact with people of similar backgrounds and interests, finding out about the latest news in politics, culture, music, entertainment and the job market, as well as the opportunity to establish meaningful social/professional relationships.
Prior to this role, Mr. Madati was the Director of Multicultural Marketing at Octagon (an InterPublic Group Company) a worldwide sports, events, entertainment and lifestyle marketing company, where he successfully started and built a new division focused on multicultural programming and marketing. Mr. Madati was integral in leading the agency, and subsequently account teams, in the development and execution of effective, engaging ethnic marketing strategies for key clients like Sprint/Nextel, Home Depot, Unilever, NASCAR, BMW, Crown Royal, and the USTA.
Mr. Madati began his career at BMW of North America LLC in their management training program. He held diverse roles including Sales and Marketing Manager of the mid-Atlantic region, Relationship Marketing Manager at BMW’s Headquarters, and finally Regional Marketing & Operations Manager at BMW of North America, LLC. It was here he was responsible for leading and managing brand visibility and marketing activities in the Southern US.
Over his tenure at BMW Mr. Madati had leadership roles on the new 7 Series launch, the new Z4 Roadster launch, the acclaimed BMW Films project, MINI’s US brand launch and many other forward thinking marketing projects that highlighted the innovative integration of media and entertainment. Additionally, Mr. Madati also oversaw BMW’s Group-wide multicultural marketing and diversity initiatives, promoting diversity as a core value and attribute of BMW’s marketing strategy, and executing programs and sponsorships that emphasized cultural and gender diversity while aligning BMW with various social and political organizations that hold leadership roles in the multicultural arena.
Mr. Madati, considered to be a leader in executing effective marketing strategies, is frequently asked to speak and present at direct marketing and marketing communications conferences on key accomplishments and successes in the areas of one-to-one marketing, multi-channel marketing, brand marketing and multicultural marketing.
Kay has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Georgetown University in Washington DC, where he majored in American Studies with a concentration in Philosophy. He is a Tanzanian citizen who was born in Norway, and raised mostly in the United Kingdom. For the last 21 years he has called New York City home, where his family currently resides.
Mr. Madati is an active member of the Direct Marketing Association and the National Black MBA Association. Additionally he is a member of the Board of Trustees of St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn, NY, and is Chairman and a founding Board Member of the Excelsior Charter School also in Brooklyn, NY.
